The final look!

Over the course of the past few months, Choices has been working with a freelance Marketer, Aimee Jaurez and has hired a Marketing Specialist, Sara Coberly, to rebrand and reimage Choices a Community Social Center. Over the course of working with Aimee and Sara, Choices has rebranded their logo, mission statement, updated the website and is now on social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, which you can follow @choicesakron. We’ve decided to rebrand so that Choices would have the new image and feel of a welcoming, inclusive and happy place to be. The color choices and blooming image of the new logo was inspired by the recovery journey and what that can look like, recovery is different for everyone but it is easier when you have a community of members surrounding you with support, empowerment and belonging. While we are still working on some very special projects at Choices to rebrand and welcome more of the community through our doors, our most recent project has been completed, a mural wrapping around our building! We worked with a local artist, Lindsey Jo Scott and over months of planning, drawing and redesigning, our image has come to life! Lindsey helped plan and execute a beautiful mural piece using 26 gallons of paint and over 600 volunteer hours of painting. Our board president, Mike Bolluck says, “Wow. What an amazing beautification of the Choices, a Community Social Center building. We hired an amazing artist (Scott) and with hundreds of hours from volunteers, many gallons of paint and a lot of love, the building looks great. While I was painting, a women driving by actually pulled in just to let us know how great the building was looking and thanked us for our hard work”! We are so excited to continue to be a place that makes Akron beautiful and great. We are hoping this new mural brings about talking point within the community and encourages new membership with those going through mental health challenges.
