Brian McKnight

For Brian McKnight, Choices is a safe haven to socialize, make friends, play games, and have access to television and computers.

Brian has been a member for over 20 years now, first joining in 1998. He heard about Choices “through the grapevine” and decided to come check it out. “It gives me somewhere to go during the day.”

Choices has helped him learn to socialize more effectively.

“It stimulates my mind and keeps me active Monday- Friday.”

His favorite Choices memories are going on trips and out to eat. He especially enjoyed a trip on the Goodtime III in 2018. Without Choices he worries his life would be boring and dull.

“It gives me something to look forward to instead of sitting at home.”

Brian would recommend Choices as a great place to come and socialize, stimulate your mind and “keep it fresh.” He encourages others to try going on trips and out to eat because they are fun.

“Seeing people and making friends with the same disability is helpful,” he added. “And the lunches are great, especially for the price: free!”
